2 Killed and 5 Injured in Sacramento Car Crash at National Drive and Striker Avenue
Sacramento, California (May 22, 2021) – Two people were killed in a car crash that left five other people injured at an intersection in Sacramento on Friday night, May 21.
The California Highway Patrol said a Mustang convertible was traveling westbound on Striker Avenue at about 7:30 p.m.
The Mustang, which was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed, ran a stop sign and crashed into a Chevy Malibu which was traveling northbound on National Drive.
The impact of the collision caused the Mustang to overturn, ejecting two rear passengers who were pronounced dead at the scene.
2 Dead after Violent Crash in North Sacramento
The driver and a front passenger of the Mustang were seriously injured in the accident and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Two women and a child in the Chevy Malibu sustained minor injuries in the accident and were hospitalized.
The identities of the victims were yet to bed disclosed.
The intersection of National Drive and Striker Avenue was closed for several hours as the scene was examined and cleared.
No other details about the crash were provided.
