2 Killed and 3 Injured in Fresno Car Crash on Highway 180 near James Road
Fresno County, California (August 17, 2021) – Two drivers were killed and three other people were injured in a head-on collision that happened on Monday evening in Fresno County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. on Highway 180 near James Road, west of Kerman.
A westbound Ford reportedly went off the roadway and veered into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a Honda Odyssey driven by a 21-year-old man.
The impact of the collision pushed both vehicles off the road, CHP said.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
Three occupants of the Honda, including a 16-year-old teen and an infant, sustained moderate injuries and were taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
A Dodge pickup travelling behind Odyssey swerved to avoid the collision and the manoeuvre caused it to overturn, the CHP said.
The pickup driver suffered moderate injuries and was also transported to a hospital.
Impairment is suspected to be a factor in the crash.
More details about the crash were unavailable.
The accident remains under investigation.
