2 Injured in Rollover Crash at Newmark Avenue and Highway 180 in Fresno

Fresno County, California (April 14, 2022) – Two men were hospitalized following a Wednesday afternoon collision that occurred in Fresno County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was reported at around 3:45 p.m. at Newmark Avenue and Highway 180.

An SUV was traveling westbound on Highway 180 when, for unknown reasons, it made a turn onto the northbound lane of Newmark Avenue, and collided with another vehicle traveling east on Highway 180.

Due to the impact of the crash, the SUV overturned, and two people were ejected, CHP said.

One person suffered severe injuries and was airlifted to the hospital.

One other person sustained moderate injuries and was taken to an area hospital.

Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be a factor in the crash.

More details about the crash were not provided.

 

The CHP is investigating the accident.
