1 Injured in Multi-Car Accident on Highway 70 near Chandler Road in Plumas County
Plumas County, California (September 9, 2021) – Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Plumas County on Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened at about 4:45 p.m. September 7, on Highway 70 near Chandler Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
78-year-old Marjorie Goosey was driving a 2019 Dodge westbound on Highway 70 when she stopped to yield to eastbound traffic as she waited to turn into the Evergreen Trailer Park.
21-year-old Colton Peters was driving a 2008 Subaru westbound when he failed to notice the stopped Dodge.
The Subaru then rear-ended Dodge.
The Subaru spun out into the eastbound lane and struck an eastbound Ford driven by 28-year-old Brett T. Bouchard, of Grass Valley.
The Subaru then veered off the roadway and crashed into the Evergreen Trailer Park mailboxes.
Goosey was injured in the accident and was transported to Plumas District Hospital for treatment.
Peters sustained minor injuries in the accident.
