Man, Woman Seriously Injured in Fresno Car Crash at Clayton and Chestnut Avenues
Fresno, California (April 24, 2022) – Two people were hospitalized with major injuries after their vehicles collided at an intersection in Fresno on Sunday evening.
The accident happened in the area of Clayton and Chestnut avenues, the California Highway Patrol said.
A woman in her 60s was driving a Chevy Silverado on the northbound side of Chestnut Avenue, where there is no stop sign.
At the same time, a man in his 40s was driving a white GMC Yukon heading west on Clayton, where there was a stop sign.
The GMC driver allegedly ran the stop sign and T-boned the Chevy.
Both vehicles flipped after the collision and landed outside a home on Clayton Avenue.
The GMC came to a stop propped against a fence while the Chevy was upside down.
Both drivers suffered severe injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
At this time, alcohol and drugs are not suspected to have played a role in the crash.
