2 Seriously Injured in Collision at 160th Street and Avenue D in Fairmont, Los Angeles
Fairmont, California (June 11, 2021) – Two people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision that sparked a 100-acre brush fire in the Fairmont area of the Antelope Valley on Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened near the intersection of 160th Street and Avenue D at about 5:30 p.m.
Two vehicles are reported to have collided in the area in unclear circumstances. The front end of one of the vehicles and the passenger-side door of the second vehicle were badly damaged in the collision. The crash sparked a brush fire that quickly spread in the area.

The Los Angeles city firefighters responded to the incident and airlifted two people two the hospital in critical condition.
