One Killed in Oakdale Crash on Orange Blossom and Lancaster Roads
Oakdale, California (May 19, 2019) – The California Highway Patrol is working to find out what caused an accident that left one person dead and several others injured in Stanislaus County on Tuesday night.
According to the report, the crash was between a pickup truck and an SUV and took place near Orange Blossom and Lancaster roads.
At around 7 p.m. May 18, CHP said a pickup heading south on Orange Blossom Road drifted across the centerline, for undetermined reasons, and collided head-on with an oncoming SUV.
The man who was driving the SUV died in the crash. He was only identified as a 78-year-old Oakdale man.
A passenger in the SUV, identified as a 78-year-old woman from Oakdale, was hospitalized with major injuries.
The pickup was carrying three people at the time of the accident. The driver and one of the passengers sustained major injuries and were also hospitalized.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
