1 Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision at Avenue 229 and Road 48 in Tulare County

Tulare, California (June 19, 2021) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Tulare County on Friday afternoon.
The deadly crash happened at Avenue 229 and Road 48 at about 3:45 p.m. June 18, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Saturn was traveling eastbound on Tulare Avenue when the driver lost control and left the roadway.
The vehicle then spun and hit a westbound Buick Regal.

The Saturn burst into flames after the collision, trapping the driver.
Sadly, the driver of the Saturn died at the scene of the accident. The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
The driver of the Buick was transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
