Motorcyclist Killed in San Bernardino Multi-Vehicle Accident on I-215 near 5th Street
San Bernardino, California (June 9, 2022) – A motorcyclist died Wednesday night in a multi-vehicle collision in San Bernardino.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 215 near 5th Street at around 8:30 p.m.
A silver Toyota Corolla, a gray GMC SUV, a silver sedan, and a motorcycle were involved in the crash. However, the events leading to the crash were unclear.
A woman driving the Corolla told the authorities that she had hit the motorcycle after it was already down.
The silver sedan had rear-end damage and had stopped in the center divider near 2nd Street.
San Bernardino Fire Department, alongside other emergency personnel, responded to the crash and attended to the motorcyclist.
Sadly, the unidentified motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The accident caused the closure of the southbound lane for more than an hour.
CHP is investigating the accident.
