1 Killed, Others Injured in Fresno Car Crash on Highway 99 near North Avenue
Fresno, California (April 26, 2022) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Tuesday morning in Fresno.
The accident happened at around 3 a.m. on Highway 99 near the North Avenue exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A woman was driving a Dodge Stratus when she drifted into the wall on the right side of the highway. The vehicle bounced off the wall, veered across the lanes and came to a stop in the center median.
A motorist stopped at the scene to help and that person’s Jeep was struck, causing it to roll over.
Two other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The driver of the Dodge was killed in the accident. Her name was not immediately disclosed.
Other involved parties suffered minor to moderate injuries.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
