Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with SUV at Long Beach Blvd and Wardlow Rd in Los Angeles
Long Beach, California (June 20, 2021) – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car at an intersection in Long Beach on Saturday afternoon, June 19.
The 1:40 p.m. motorcycle accident happened at Long Beach Boulevard and Wardlow Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 2006 Yamaha YZ450F motocross motorcycle was traveling northbound on Long Beach Boulevard when it collided with a Toyota RAV4 that was making a left turn from southbound Long Beach to eastbound Wardlow.

The motorcyclist was seriously injured in the collision and was transported to an area hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. His name was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
The 23-year-old Long Beach woman who was driving the car remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP and the Long Beach Police Department are investigating the cause of the accident.
