The two-vehicle collision occurred on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road, just north of Backus Road shortly before 3:15 p.m. September 10.

According to California Highway Patrol, a Hyundai Sonata and a Honda Odyssey are reported to have collided head-on for unknown reasons.

The CHP said at least one person died in the accident. The name of the victim was not immediately released.
