Barrio Logan, California (June 22, 2022) – A 63-year-old man died on Tuesday morning after a collision that involved his bicycle and a vehicle in Barrio Logan, San Diego.
San Diego police said the accident occurred at around 9:30 a.m. on Harbor Drive near Beardsley Street.
The man was riding a battery-assisted bicycle westbound when he swerved into another lane to pass a box truck.
Police say the cyclist crashed into the front right fender of a Dodge Charger that was traveling westbound and was thrown over the car’s hood.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol and drugs are not believed to have played a role in the crash.
No other information about the accident was provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
