1 Killed, 3 Others Hospitalized after Visalia Crash at SR-63 and Marlin Avenue
Visalia, California (July 22, 2022) – A teen was killed and three other people seriously injured in a head-on collision that involved a stolen truck on Friday morning in Visalia.
The fatal crash was reported at around 7:40 a.m. at the intersection of SR-63 and Marlin Avenue near Avenue 320, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 15-year-old boy was driving a pickup truck when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle, drifted into the opposite lane, and collided head-on with an oncoming SUV.
CHP said that both vehicles crashed into a parked big rig after the collision.
The teen driving the stolen truck and his 14-year-old female passenger were taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center with severe injuries.
Another teen in the truck, a 14-year-old boy from Dinuba, was killed in the crash.
A 27-year-old man in the SUV suffered serious injuries and was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment.
Intoxication was not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
