3 Injured, 1 Critically, in Santa Barbara Car Crash on Highway 126 near Campbell Road
Santa Barbara, California (July 4, 2021) – One person was airlifted to the hospital with major injuries following a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 246 between Lompoc and Buellton on Saturday afternoon.
Shortly after 4 p.m., the California Highway Patrol, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department and American Medical Response were notified of a head-on collision on Highway 126 near Campbell Road.
The units arrived at the scene and found a sedan and a pickup truck that were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the collision were not immediately established.

One person believed to be about 70-years-old head to be extricated before being flown to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by a Mercy Air medical helicopter based in Paso Robles.
Two other people sustained minor injuries in the accident.
The police temporarily closed Highway 246 as the scene was processed.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
